A late-style SWISS MADE dial on an early serial case commonly points to a Rolex service replacement. Service parts can be legitimate, but collectors usually value period-correct tritium and original hands more highly.

Bracelet correctness affects feel and value

Period-correct 14270 bracelets are Oyster 78790 with hollow end links (commonly cited as 558B) and a stamped clasp. Solid end links are characteristic of the later 114270 and are not period-correct for the 14270 even if they fit.
