2000 Rolex Submariner 16613

The Rolex Submariner Ref. 16613 stands as a defining icon of the late 20th-century dive watch, and this 2000 example, presented in the coveted two-tone steel and yellow gold configuration with a vibrant blue dial, captures the essence of the era’s luxury sports watch aesthetic. Revered among collectors for its blend of robust utility and unmistakable elegance, the 16613 bridges the gap between classic tool watch heritage and the opulence of precious metal accents.

The blue dial on this watch is particularly striking, exhibiting a rich sunburst effect that plays beautifully with the light, while the applied gold hour markers and hands are filled with luminous material that has aged to a pleasing, even tone. The unidirectional blue bezel insert retains its deep color, with the gold numerals and markers remaining crisp and legible. The two-tone Oyster case, crafted from stainless steel and 18k yellow gold, shows only the lightest signs of careful wear, preserving its sharp lines and original factory finish. The sapphire crystal is free from noticeable blemishes, ensuring a clear view of the dial beneath. The gold Triplock crown and matching two-tone Oyster bracelet, with solid end links and minimal stretch, further reinforce the watch’s luxurious yet purposeful character. The caseback remains unpolished, and the original Rolex stickers are still present—a rare and desirable detail for collectors seeking untouched examples. Powering this Submariner is the automatic caliber 3135, renowned for its reliability and precision.

This watch is offered as a complete full set, accompanied by its original box, papers, booklets, hang tags, and the seldom-seen original factory stickers. Such completeness, combined with the outstanding preservation of the watch itself, makes this 16613 a standout opportunity for the discerning collector. With its iconic blue and gold colorway, full suite of accessories, and untouched details, this Submariner is ready to anchor any serious collection or serve as a statement piece for daily wear.
