Every Grey Market sale settles through escrow: the buyer pays, the seller ships the watch to our verifier for in-hand authentication, and it is released to the buyer once it passes. The seller is paid out after verification.
This 1986 Rolex Datejust reference 16013 presents the classic two-tone configuration that defined the model’s presence in the 1980s, pairing stainless steel with 18k yellow gold. As a one-owner watch, it offers a direct link to its era, with honest wear throughout and all the hallmarks of a well-preserved vintage Datejust.
The champagne dial retains its original sunburst finish, with applied gold baton markers and matching gold hands. Several lume plots around the edge of the dial are missing, most notably at 1, 4, 10, and 11 o’clock, with the remaining plots showing some age-related darkening. The printed text remains crisp and fully legible. The yellow gold fluted bezel displays surface marks and light scratches consistent with regular use, while still maintaining its sharp profile. The acrylic crystal shows visible scratches and marks, particularly above the date window, but the cyclops magnifier remains intact and functional. The case, in stainless steel, exhibits surface scratches and some nicks along the lugs and case sides, with no signs of polishing, preserving the original lines and proportions. The gold crown is original, with the Rolex coronet clearly defined.
The Jubilee bracelet, reference 62523H.18, is the correct two-tone configuration for this model and shows minimal stretch and surface scratches throughout the links and clasp. The clasp coronet is worn down from daily use, but the stamped markings inside the clasp are clear. The caseback is unpolished, with light handling marks visible. The movement inside is the automatic Rolex caliber 3035.
This watch is offered with no box or papers included. It is a one-owner piece, with no service history or additional documentation provided. The overall condition reflects regular wear, with all components appearing original to the watch.

@JJZ coming in at the end, congratulations, what a deal on a nice watch.
New pic of it today which I think shows off the watch nicely. Let me know if anyone has any questions, and good luck! Post auction it'll be off to https://timepiecegrading.com/ for grading & verification before heading to the winner.
Shot of the bracelet
No Reserve, so it seems like this one might go cheaply... Good luck to the bidders, let me know if you would like any additional photos. I'll get a bracelet shot up soon.
