This is a 1978 Rolex Submariner reference 1680, featuring a 40mm stainless steel case and a black dial with date display at 3 o'clock, magnified by a cyclops lens. Condition

OverallThe watch shows signs of regular wear consistent with age, with surface marks visible on the case and bracelet. The watch was serviced by Rolex of Dallas several years ago resulting in the replacement of the dial, hands, and bezel with service parts.

DialThe watch features a "SWISS" only service dial, featuring open 6 depth rating. The hands were replaced with service hands by Rolex at the same time as the dial.

Case and crystalThe stainless steel case shows surface scratches and handling marks as well as being polished by Rolex during service. The service bezel insert has some visible wear and minor marks. The acrylic crystal has been replaced by Rolex and displays some scratches, particularly around the cyclops area.

BraceletThe Oyster bracelet shows surface scratches and some stretch, with the clasp and Rolex coronet visible. The clasp engravings are clear.
